A leak off of Game's upcoming album California Republic, Skate On features a sick verse from Lupe Fiasco and good beat. I'm not usually a big fan of Game but he's pretty good on this song too.

Mikkey Halsted ft. Lupe Fiasco & Jim Lavigne- Gone

Today Lupe Fiasco dropped this collaboration with Mikkey Halsted and Jim Lavigne, rapping about the current state of Chicago and some of the violence and stuff that's happening there. It's a good song and most definitely worth a listen.

Lupe Fiasco makes 2 announcements at concert in Portland

At a recent concert in Portland, Oregon, Lupe Fiasco made a couple announcements. The depressing announcement is that he will no longer be producing mixtapes, but the announcement that made me go from six to midnight is that Food & Liquor 2, his new album, is finished and has a tentative release date for sometime in July. THANK YOU BASED GOD.

Lupe Fiasco performs on David Letterman

Last night, Lupe Fiasco performed "Always Shine" with Robert Glasper and Bilal. This is a great song and an even better performance, and I'm pretty upset that I missed this. Check it out above.

New School Rappers at the Grammys

As everyone in the entire universe knows, the Grammys were last night. Many new school rappers and hip hop artists were nominated or performed. Kanye West came away the most successful, pulling in awards for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and Best Rap Song for "All of the Lights", which also gave Kid Cudi two Grammy's. West also won Best Rap Album for "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy". Unfortunately, he didn't interrupt anybodies speech this year. There were no other victories for new school artists, although there were a plethora of nominations, including 3 for Nicki Minaj, 3 for Lupe Fiasco, and 1 for Drake, Wiz Khalifa, and J. Cole.

In another Grammy related story, J. Cole and Lupe Fiasco both took their mothers with them to the red carpet. Personally, I think that's awesome. Mom, if you're reading this, if I ever go to a red carpet, you're coming with me. This gave me a lot more respect for both of these artists. Classy move.
