Earl Sweatshirt coming back to LA?
Earl Sweatshirt, member of Odd Future and center of much controversy, may be coming home to Los Angeles from his Samoan boarding school as early as Monday. Although the details seem sketchy to say the least, at least two sources have confirmed that Earl, known for having over 10 million youtube views on his music before the age of 18, will be on a flight home soon.
It all started with tweets from a man claiming to be a part of Alternative Intervention Models (AIM), began tweeting that their group were the ones responsible going to Samoa to get Earl and that he would be returning on Monday. Also, the man said he would be under the guidance of Leila Steinburg, the manager most famous for bringing Tupac to fame. This was sketchy to say the least because many of his tweets contained plugs for "#STEINBURGENTERTAINMENTGROUP". Who would advertise their stuff during such an intense situation? After these tweets came a website that the man claimed to have created, www.therealearlsweatshirt.com. The website contains almost no information and ample room for advertisement, the one piece of information is this short video:
The next development was that a Samoan news interview with Earl surfaced in Samoan news papers. The newspaper claimed that Earl would be returning to LA and would be meeting with press from Complex, MTV, etc. almost immediately. This seems to be a good sign.
So will this prove to be different from earlier this year when Tyler trolled so hard and got many to believe Earl was coming back? Will he actually return and continue making music? Only time will tell, but for the time being, it seems pretty promising.
